The Flesh!

I am a funny person! I say that because, as I remove myself in the Spirit and look at the Flesh, it’s an awefully funny site! Seriously, in the flesh, one day can be an awesome day and the next day you would think my world came to an end. How can that be? The answer is simple enough…The Flesh! 

If I am cognizant of this fact, then I am also endowed with the Power from on High to change that. This is accomplished by walking, breathing, talking, thinking, and living, in the presence of the Holy Spirit. I think it was BH Radar that said something to this effect, “If you think Satan comes against you now, you ain’t seen nothing yet, wait till you get Baptised in the Holy Spirit!” It is true, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;” in John 10:10.

When you receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit in your life by the sacrificial blood of the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ, you immediately become an enemy and are placed on Hell’s “Most Wanted” list! Satan is a liar! My father always said this, “if a man will lie to you, he will steal from you, and if a man will steal from you, he will lie to you.” This old saying is scripturally true! For Satan is both a liar and a thief! He seeks to steal your joy (the first fruits), kill your spirit (his supernatural enemy, the Holy Spirit), and destroy your hope (Jesus Christ, his Jailor).

No wonder I am up one day and down the next! My desire is to be filled with the Holy Spirit 24/7, but my  flesh is like a frenzy of Pirahnas furiously tearing at my every weakness!  Wake up Chris! Wake up! “and do not give the devil a foothold…And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” When will I learn to trust in the words of God!

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”

It’s one thing for me to say, “I am baptized in the Holy Spirit”, yet it is an entirely different thing for me to actually live by that Spirit!

Strive for Perfection!

This week has been a very stressful weak, from what I can tell, for many of us, not just myself. The Holy Spirit, has lead me to write this small note to you.
Perfection is not attainable in the flesh! We will never aquire perfection. We will never attain its loftiness. We will never be perfect! However, having giving our lives completely and wholly unto the Lord Jesus Christ, we are encouraged thru the Holy Spirit to strive for perfection!

I want everyone to know that I am not perfect and you are not perfect. Quite frankly, sometimes I feel as though I am the greatest of unperfectness! If thats even a word, but you get the point. No not one, me, you, the president, the pope, no human being is perfect! But Jesus Christ is. As a christian, we are to strive to be more like him. Only attaining perfection on that “great and terrible day”.

The Holy Spirit, our Counselor, has been freely given unto us. I must admit, as many of you probably need to admit, that I have not walked closely with the Spirit. I find myself now needing to seek him in my life. As I have begun to do so, I see many things in my life that need to change. You will too…but only if we each begin to LISTEN to the Spirit. I heard someone today say that, “my thorn in the flesh” was such and such. This week, I have realized and can honestly say that I don’t have a thorn in the flesh ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. I have a whole BRIAR BUSH!

Thank God, for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ, and a big shout out, for thinking so much of us, as to give us the Holy Spirit. Without Him in our lives, we could never continue to strive for perfection.
