Teach and Apply

Learning is how we grow in our walk with Jesus. Duh! That is such an elementary statement right. Why? Because it is something we all do and are familiar with. But let me ask a question, if I may.

If someone is losing their home to foreclosure, would you say to them, “the bible says to pay your bills, have a blessed day!”

I think often times we are very slow to respond to the needs of society and specifically we have difficulty doing this in the church, at least traditionally. I am not faulting the church’s great ministries of teaching scripture. Continue reading “Teach and Apply” »

3 New Apps!

As you know I like to do reviews of apps that I have found and use. Usually if the app is just something I don’t find has a real purpose in aiding my productivity I don’t bother with a review. However, my wife had to have a sleep test done at the Hospital last night and so while she slept I worked. I found these three apps and thought them to be excellent apps and serve the purpose they were created for really well. Continue reading “3 New Apps!” »

Creative Ideas…

It goes without saying, that we must engage our youth and adults in various ways. More today than ever before. However!…

Jesus is Jesus! God is God! Holy Spirit is Holy Spirit! Bible is the Bible! Sinners are Sinners! Heaven is Heaven! and Hell is Hell!

  • God is the Creator of the Universe and everything in it.
  • Jesus is God’s Son. He was sacrificed for YOU! He did die! He was raised from the dead! He does Live!
  • Jesus is the ONLY way a human can be redeemed!
  • Every human has 2 choices: Jesus or Satan. Choose Jesus, be redeemed, live an eternal life in Heaven! Don’t make a choice…be condemned, live an eternal life in Hell!
  • The Holy Spirit is real! When you choose Christ, the Spirit lives within you.

That is the straight! Sometimes we get so caught up in being CREATIVE that we spend 90% of our time trying to figure out what to call it, how to dress it, and who to present it, and only 10% of our time actually doing what Jesus called us to do!

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go and Make Disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”

Why have we become so super sensitive to the Gospel. We act as if we have everything to do with ones conversion and God has nothing to do with it. Yes…I agree we must embrace change, creativity, and technology. I also believe that building relationships with people are key to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But if you (the church) are spending more than 50% of your time doing anything but sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its purest form with people, something is desperately wrong!

Jesus began his ministry saying, “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand”. That doesn’t work anymore? Wrong…

This blog is written with the sincerest heart in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is meant to be a clear warning to all those who are hiding behind the veil. All who know me and hear these words testify that I embrace creativity in this work God is carrying out. Yet, I challenge you to move past the veil and into the light of Jesus Christ. Stop hiding under the lampshade! Move forward into the light that all may know redemption is of Jesus Christ and he alone. With boldness declare His Gospel and depend entirely upon the Holy Spirit, not your creativity! “To he who hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
