The Adoption Project

Last year, in September our core family group experimented with an adoption project. Several months prior God really pressed on me about some specific geographic areas in our community. These are areas that may be below poverty level, or drug infested areas, apartments, and low income housing. One day I just got in the car and said, “Ok Lord this is your game, take me where I need to go.” Amazingly enough within about an hour He had identified six different areas! Later on, in August I believe, I rolled it out to our core families and they totally loved the idea! They got on board and we did our first community adoption in September.

Two Faced?

More often than not, we encounter people that are “Two Faced” and sometimes we may even exibit this behaviour in our own lives! So I began to think about Craig Groeschel’s (@craiggroeschel for you twitter users) book the Christian Atheist. Bi-Vocational war within!

Most of you guys don’t know me, but I hope as I continue to blog that we will come to know one another and hopefully network with another. I posted a comment on Ron Edmondson’s site this morning on blogging and I wrote in that comment that I was pretty sure if I write what is on my heart that I will be happy and hopeful that others may get the same joy and fulfillment.

So, here goes, I have to be just straight up honest with you guys, I really struggle within my spirit about being bi-vocational.
